Coupon Secrets

July 6th, 2007 at 03:38 pm

I am interested to find out how people save almost their entire grocery bill. Do they do this week after week and do they have coupons for fresh meat and produce, if so where do they get them. I am a big coupon clipper and I get them from the internet and from the Sunday newspaper but I am lucky to save $10.00 on a $40.00 bill and that's with a few free items. I just don't get it. I would love to know your secrets.

Me too! Our local paper comes out once and week and has no coupons.

You can sign up for coupons on most company websites. Check the product for a website or for the name of a parent company. For example you can go to Con Agra and be linked to several of their individual products like Marie Callandar or Healthy Choice. Often if you call the comment line on the package of food they'll send you coupons if you ask.

Don't hesitate to do this. Even the organic food companies have coupons at times. I've gotten milk and cheese coupons from Organic Valley and beef coupons from Laura's.

The grocery stores themselves often have coupon dispensers or "blinkies" in the asiles, those little red machines with the blinking light that spits out coupons. I've mostly seen these in Fred Meyer (Kroeger) in my area but I know other chain stores have them.
